Spherity's Trusted AI
by Spherity
Spherity Trusted AI enables autonomous AI agents to act securely within ecosystems such as Catena-X through cryptographically verifiable identities and machine-readable authorizations. It links each agent to a registered legal entity through an AI Service Passport, a narrowly scoped Power of Attorney, and a verified Corporate Identity. This creates a clear, auditable chain of accountability, allowing organisations such as Catena-X participants as well as others to verify who operates an agent, what it is permitted to do, and who is legally responsible. Aligned with eIDAS 2.0 and the EU AI Act, the service supports trusted agent interactions across industrial data spaces, regulated industries, and cross-company value chains.

How it works
The end-user flow establishes a verifiable trust chain for Agent-to-Agent (A2A) interactions in Catena-X ecosystems, as explored by the Catena-X Trusted AI Expert Group:
Issuance: Trusted sources, such as official business registers or Bundesanzeiger Verlag, issue corporate identity credentials, including Legal Person Identifiers, licenses, or market roles, to a company’s European Business Wallet under the eIDAS 2.0 trust framework. Additional ecosystem credentials may be issued by trusted participants or authorities.
Delegation: A company in Catena-X issues a Power of Attorney credential to an AI Agent Wallet, defining permitted actions, limitations, and validity. An AI Service Passport provides verifiable lifecycle, provenance, and compliance information.
A2A Exchange: When interacting with another Catena-X participant, the AI service agent presents its corporate identity, Power of Attorney, and AI Service Passport credentials via the Catena-X DPS/DCP Protocol.
Verification: The receiving agent verifies signatures, trusted issuers, delegated mandate, validity, and revocation status in real time. Once verified, the interaction can proceed securely and automatically.

The FIDES Use Case Catalog aims to provide a clear and up-to-date overview of how verifiable credentials and digital wallets are used in the real world. While FIDES Labs BV does not assume responsibility or liability for the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of the information presented, we have made a best effort to compile a representative overview. The data is aggregated from publicly available sources and from information published by the organisations themselves.
Add or update a use case:
- List your organization first (if it is not in the Organizations catalog).
- Then submit a use case or suggest an update to an existing use case.
Both flows require a FIDES Community account. Submissions are reviewed before publication.
