Digital Product Passport Applying the CIRPASS Structure and Danube Business Wallet
by K4-Security
Textile, fashion, and various other manufacturers are using KSPTS (K4Security Passport Traceability System, k4-dpp.com), the flagship Digital Product Passport (DPP) platform of K4Security, to strengthen regulatory compliance and supply chain transparency. KSPTS has successfully completed a Proof of Concept (PoC) for the fashion brand Harlie-K, and has issued DPP samples and completed verification for a wide range of product categories across multiple companies. Each product registered on the KSPTS platform has its standardized data — including raw material sourcing origin, material composition, Carbon Footprint (CFP), regulatory certification documents, and Lifecycle information — linked to a digital passport. This solution supports machine-readable, transparent regulatory compliance reporting, enabling companies to track the environmental impact and product information across their entire supply chain in real time. Through KSPTS, K4Security provides an optimal solution that allows companies in the European Union (EU) to proactively respond to the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) and Digital Product Passport (DPP) mandatory requirements for sustainable products.

How it works
[Overall process]
① Onboarding (DID/Wallet) → ② Tier-specific VC issuance → ③ Attaching DPP·QR code → ④ Verification → ⑤ Consumer lookup
1. Onboarding
- As a DPP Issuer, the required DID is pre-registered. When registering the wallet, UNTP VC signing is requested from the Wallet.
2. Role issuance
- A server-side wallet is issued to the Actor, and a Role VC is issued.
- Through the Role VC, access rights to non-public data can be proven.
3. UNTP VC (DPP) issuance
- Based on the product's raw data and materials, a source verification VC is generated.
- Based on the source verification VC, a UNTP DPP is issued.
- The DPP is published via the product's DID Document.
4. DPP lookup
- Data is accessed and verified through the product's DID.
- When accessing linked non-public data (DCC or DTE, etc.) via the idr, authentication is performed.
- Access rights are verified through submission of a RoleVC issued by ID/PW or REO.
- Once access rights are confirmed, the non-public data can be viewed.

The FIDES Use Case Catalog aims to provide a clear and up-to-date overview of how verifiable credentials and digital wallets are used in the real world. While FIDES Labs BV does not assume responsibility or liability for the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of the information presented, we have made a best effort to compile a representative overview. The data is aggregated from publicly available sources and from information published by the organisations themselves.
Add or update a use case:
- List your organization first (if it is not in the Organizations catalog).
- Then submit a use case or suggest an update to an existing use case.
Both flows require a FIDES Community account. Submissions are reviewed before publication.
