One EUDI Wallet Release Across OpenID Foundation, WE BUILD and FCAF
by Forkbomb
Before releasing a new EUDI Wallet build, a wallet development team must show that the same app can receive and present credentials correctly across independent test ecosystems. Today this often requires separate manual sessions, provider-specific scripts and test code added to the application. In the implemented Credimi workflow, a release candidate running on a real Android device is tested against OpenID Foundation and WE BUILD services. The wallet receives a test credential through OpenID4VCI and presents a PID-format SD-JWT VC through OpenID4VP. Credimi automates the wallet actions and API interactions, captures structured results, screenshots, video and device logs, and extracts the applicable FCAF test results from that evidence. The developer can identify the failed requirement, fix the wallet and rerun exactly the same journey. Keeping the test logic outside the application substantially reduces implementation effort. The automation pipelines, adapters and evidence definitions can be reused across wallet releases and implementations, turning separate ecosystem tests into a shared and repeatable release-validation process.

How it works
Credimi makes external interoperability and conformance services easy to integrate into the same wallet-testing workflow, including OpenID Foundation and WE BUILD tests.
1. The developer configures their Wallet component in credimi.io.
2. They adapt Credimi’s published Maestro mobile-automation scripts to their wallet. Typically, 80–90% of each script can be reused, so the tests remain outside the wallet application rather than requiring test-specific code in it.
3. The developer launches a pipeline on a Credimi Runner. The runner executes the automation on a physical device, emulator or simulator and extracts the applicable FCAF test results from the pipeline evidence.
4. After execution, Credimi presents a detailed report showing every FCAF test performed, its result and the supporting execution evidence. The developer can inspect failures, adapt the wallet or script, and rerun the same pipeline.
5. Pipelines can also run automatically on a schedule or through CI integration, allowing the same reusable tests to validate subsequent wallet releases.
