First time user

Verify your email address and receive a Verified Email credential.
You store it as a credential in a supported wallet and use it to sign in.

How does it work?

Signing in with a digital wallet is different from creating a traditional username and password. Instead of storing a password on our servers, FIDES issues a Verified Email credential to your wallet. You remain in control of this credential and can use it to sign in securely.

Digital wallets are still an emerging technology, so this registration process may feel unfamiliar. Over the coming years, wallet adoption is expected to accelerate worldwide, driven by initiatives such as the European Digital Identity (EUDI) Wallet, national digital identity programmes, and the growing use of verifiable credentials across both the public and private sectors.

At FIDES, we believe that the best way to improve digital wallets is by using them in real-world scenarios. By registering with your wallet, you’re not only securing your account—you are also helping drive adoption and providing valuable feedback that contributes to a better user experience.

As this technology continues to mature, you may notice that some wallet interactions are still evolving. We expect the registration experience to become even simpler and more intuitive as wallets, standards, and relying party implementations continue to improve.
